Veteran forward Isaiah Fox who is entering his last season of junior hockey eligibility had a big weekend to help the Nords put together a three-game weekend home sweep of the New Jersey Titans.
Isaiah Fox had six points including 3 goals, 3 assists, and was a +3 in the three wins for the Nordiques.
On Friday, Fox had 2 goals, including the game-winner and added two assists in a 6-1 win.
On Saturday, he scored the shootout winner in a 2-1 shootout win for the Nordiques when he snapped a quick low-glove side-wrist shot home for a key game-2 victory.
On Sunday, he had 1 goal and 1 assist in a 4-3 win for the weekend sweep. When Nolan Howe was asked about his impressive performance he had some great things to say: “Isaiah has been tremendous for all season long and a real leader on and off the ice. He was a force this past weekend, not only with his points and shootout winner, but also with his penalty killing, his discipline, and his play away from the puck. We look forward to him making his NCAA D1 commitment soon and continuing his strong play for the remainder of the season,”
Fox is currently 2nd on the Nordiques in scoring with 4 goals and 5 assist for 9 points in just 7 games. That is good for a tie of 3rd place in the entire NAHL in points and he’s only 1 point behind D1 commit Tyler Gaulin for the team lead and the NAHL point lead.
