Congratulations to James Philpott on committing to Hamilton College!
James was a key part to the Nordiques success this season as his stellar defense earned him a lot of ice time and a player that the coaching staff can rely on when it came down to crunch time. James was also one of our captains this season and was the first round pick for the Nordiques in the 2020 NAHL draft. James came into the season as someone the coaching staff was looking at to bolster their defense and he proved what he could do from day 1. James goes down in the record books as scoring the first goal in a Nordique sweater in the NAHL finals in Blaine, Minnesota.
James was the Nordiques leading point getter by a defenseman. James was able to rack up 6 goals and 21 assist tied for 5th best on the team. James was also a lethal asset on the power play as his quarterback, like puck handling skills on the man advantage, gave him the most power play assist by a defenseman in the East division with 11!
